Okay, so when Rona decided to come to town, my job closed to the public, which meant that I had lots of monotonous work to do and, blessedly, was allowed to wear my headphones during this time. I'm not much of a music person, and I quickly used up my podcasts, which meant I needed a new book. Now, I made a rule awhile ago not to read books that didn't have at least a little LGBT content in them, so after ages of searching, I came across Six of Crows.
I didn't think I was going to like it at first.
Thankfully, I didn't have many other choices, so I stuck with it, and damn am I glad I did because LISTEN I AM OBSESSED LIKE IT IS A PROBLEM MY REDBUBBLE CART IS F U L L
Because L I S T E N
-I would marry Kaz Brekker in a heart beat, I have such a thing for smart criminals
-Inej is ? such a ? little survivor ? what a badass ?
-Nina is CHUBBY! YOU CAN PRY THAT FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS. ANOTHER CHARACTER LITERALLY DESCRIBES HER AS "indecently round'
-I would die for Wylan okay. He's new here and honestly has no idea what's going on but he's having a great time
-Jesper is the love of my life I have a thing for gay farm boys who live dangerously (side eyes Maggie Stievater)
-My boy Matthias being a complicated problematic fave kid please get your shit together
So listen you should read this book because 1) crime, 2) magic, 3) LGBT flirting, 4) diversity, 5) it's the only book in a LONG TIME that actually has me shipping heterosexuals like w h a t
In other news, I am back on Twitter, where if you feel so inclined you can go through my livetweeting while my girlfriend and I read it together, but it's spoilery.
